Ingredients:
¹⁄₁₂ fl oz	Rothman & Winter Crème de Violette Liqueur
3 fresh	Blueberries (fresh)
2 fl oz	Light white rum (charcoal-filtered 1-4 years old)
²⁄₃ fl oz	Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
¹⁄₃ fl oz	Elderflower liqueur
¹⁄₃ fl oz	Monin Lavender Syrup

Prepare:

Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
Prepare garnish of dried lavender sprig.

How to make:

RINSE chilled glass with violet liqueur, discard excess and set to one side.
MUDDLE blueberries in base of shaker.
Add other ingredients and SHAKE with ice.
FINE STRAIN into lavender-rinsed glass.

Garnish:

Garnish with lavender sprig pegged to rim.

Simon: do you know if it is intended that the excess violette be discarded after the rinse or retained. We did the former but it's probably personal preference, as always. Anyway, it's a superb Daquiri.

Instead of the lavender as garnish, we just float a rose petal or two. Very pretty and increases the floral elements from three to four.

One of the best daiquiri variants I've had in awhile. I used a 100 proof "specialty spirit" made from can and prune juices (tastes like rum).

Next time I'd add the creme de violette to the drink instead of a rinse, because why not?

Agree that is not overly sweet and very floral. Used parfait armour instead of crème violette which worked well with floral notes.

Made this today and it was a pleasant surprise not as sweet as feared. My only mishap didn’t read the recipe properly so put the crème de violette into the shaker ? then proceeded to rinsing the glasses anyway. Most pretty looking cocktail too.

Today I tried the cocktail with Havana Club 3y. which I normally prefer. But, although the result is very good, the fine floral tones get lost.

Agreed, it's one of those cocktails that suits a more subtle charcoal-filtered light rum.

Was all set to make this... only to discover I had raspberries, instead of blueberries. So, I changed things up; muddled my raspberries, swapped in a hibiscus simple syrup I'd made (and left out the creme de violette wash, of course), and ended up with a bright, tart, and tasty raspberry daiquiri... with a twist (the elderflower)!

I was so excited to try this recipe! Then I realized we didn't have any lavender syrup. So, I subbed 1/4 oz. blueberry liquor and 1/4oz. simple for the lavender syrup. It was delightful! I think I'll call it Blue Violet Daiquiri.

One of our favorites. You can tweak the sweetness easily enough by adjusting the lavender syrup. However with our fresh limes, the recipe as published is pretty much spot on for our tastes.
